Takealot listing kit

R 950.00

Everything you need to get products onto Takealot with fewer rejections: a prep sheet, Takealot's current content and image rules in one guide, a pre-upload checklist, and a listing checker that reads your sheet and tells you what to fix before you upload.

What's inside

  • Listing prep sheet (CSV): one row per product or variant, with a guide to all 21 columns.
  • Content and image rules: titles, descriptions, images, barcodes, packed sizes, variants, prices, documents and prohibited products, each rule with its Takealot source, plus the common rejection reasons and how to fix them.
  • Pre-upload checklist: what a spreadsheet cannot show, from the main image background to certificates, packed measurements and expiry dates.
  • Listing checker: a script that checks every row against Takealot's limits and word lists (title length and case, banned wording, barcode check digits, image links and pixel sizes, packed dimensions, prices and variant families) and writes a report of what to fix and what to check by eye.
  • Agent skill: lets Claude Code or another AI agent run the checker and draft fixes from your own product facts.
  • Worked example: eight sample products and the checker's report on them.

Who it is for

Sellers listing on Takealot for the first time, brands moving a catalogue across, and anyone who lists products for clients and wants fewer resubmissions.

Format

One zip file, delivered by email after checkout. Markdown guides, CSV templates and a Python 3.9 or newer script that needs no other software. Works on Windows, macOS and Linux.

Rules checked against Takealot's published seller documents on 19 October 2026. Takealot changes its rules without notice, and every limit the checker uses sits in one file you can update.
